Hoodies, Bonfires, Smores and Hot Coca!

It's our favorite time of year at the Robertson's.  It's time for cooler weather.  We get to raise the windows and let the cool air in.  I have wanted each year to decorate the front porch with hay, mums and all the cute stuff.  I made myself take the time to do it a couple days ago.

I thought it turned out cute!  I am going to do our family portraits out there within the next couple of weeks.  I figured it would be a cute back drop.  Especially for the kids!

Here are a few pictures from Halloween.  The kids had a great time at Trunk or Treat at the church.

This is Kennedy and her friend Karleigh.  They loved watching the puppet show.  They would get up and dance around shaking their booties.

Can you believe we only have like 8 weeks left in this year?  It's crazy how fast it has gone by!  I hope everyone has been working on their Christmas shopping!

Wait for it...

So one day last week Gordon and myself were running a couple errands.  We happened to be headed towards the interstate in Ocean Springs and came across this guy.

I was able to catch him at a good time.  He was fishing for some lunch!

I try my best to take my camera everywhere.  You never know what you may come across!

Take the time to notice the little things around you!

Taylor skeet shooting

Hunting season is near.  Which doesn't mean a whole lot to Gordon and myself but Taylor's dad has always been a hunter and so I guess it is rubbing off on him.  So in comes the target shooting.  Gordon had some skeets from when he and his friends were shooting so he broke them out for Taylor.  I don't think he actually hit any of them that Gordon or Harry threw so I'm sure the deer will be thankful. :)

You can't really see them but on the dirt pile in the back Gordon put some skeets there for him to shoot.

For Taylor's sake I really hope he gets his first deer this year.  His dad told him he was going to let him use his gun.  I guess we will have to wait and see!

And of course Gordon had to show him how it was done.

This was Kennedy watching them shoot.  I told her she had to stay by me and she never moved.  And yes she is in her nightgown.  When we are home for the day we like to hang out in our pjs.

Gordon's only request for his birthday was to have a carrot cake from Sweet Expressions Bakery.  So of course I had to follow through.  It was delicious like always.  I must have had it crooked on the way home because one of the sides got a little smashed.  Oh well, stills tastes the same right?!

Taylor's chore after supper is to help clean up the kitchen.  I found this the other night.  He left a note on Gordon's leftovers for his lunch.  So I guess all the picking on each other really means they at least like each other a little!

Potty training coloring and picture time

So Gordon and I have been on vacation this week.  Today the bank is closed so I get an extra day. (Yes I planned it this way)  I have been trying all week to make time to get on here and update our blog.  I told myself I have a week of being at home.  I will have plenty of time!  I was successful one day.  (Yes 1 day only!)  There is to much to do when you are on a staycation!  Move plants, cut back plants, plant plants and decorate for fall of course!  Plus we had to have naptime with Kennedy.   Taylor did have school this week so it was just the 3 of us at home.  A couple years ago we took off to the mountains in TN the first week of October and ended up getting a letter from school that he doesn't need to miss any more days.  (To our defense I did get with his teacher before we left and took his school work with us) Whoops! Lol  We didn't want another one of those!

So that gets me to this post...... Potty Training Kenndy.

I told her on Friday last week. "No more diapers!"  Ha!!! Who was I lying to?  I guess myself.  That girl is not going to poo on the potty!  Teetee?  We have that down.  Whether we are at home or out and about we are good there.  She will take naps with no accidents.  Poop???  That's a completely different story!

We have tried everything!  Treats.  Telling her we will take her to see her friends.  Taking the Ipad to potty.  Moving the potty all over the house.  ANYTHING we could think of!

You can see her here.  I moved her to under the table to try to go.  That is her normal hiding spot for going.  No luck though.  This girl is just not comfortable going poo on the potty yet.  Hopefully we will get there soon!  Because as of right now her routine is to ask for a diaper to go poo.  It's funny because Taylor was no problem to potty train.  Maybe it's just a girl thing.

One of Kennedy's favorite things to do is color.  So one day while we were home I broke out the Macro lens.  That has to be my favorite lens.  It takes the best pictures.  Gordon and I were in the kitchen baking things that we have no business eating.  We have been doing really good eating better and losing weight.  Not that we have a lot to lose but we want to get back to where there were no muffin tops.  We  have lost over 10 pounds between the 2 of us. Yay us! .... Now to get back on track with K.... She was so content on the floor coloring while we were baking.

This picure is one of my favorites. I want to edit it a little and have it put on canvas to put somewhere in the house. Thinking of pictures, the kids will probably get tired of me real quick this fall because I have the front porch all decorated and I am going to take our family pics out there. I just have to find a piece to my tripod that K has decided to hide from me. She is so bad about hiding things.

She loves to break out her camera to.  She wanted to take a picture of me taking a picture of her.  Very creative right?!  We thought so.

This is some of the latest on Kennedy.  I hate I didn't have more time last week to post more!

Splash pad fun

We made a trip over to the splash pad one night after dinner.  We lucked up when we got there and it was just us.  I was excited for any reason to watch her have a good time and catch it in pictures.  The only downfall is Taylor was still at his dad's.  I know he would have had a good time with us.

This girl was non stop from the time we put her feet on the ground.  I wish I could have just half of her energy.  She was sure to get to each water spout.

This picture has got to be one of my all time favorites.  I love the mid air jump and the water coming off of her fingers.  I didn't even notice that until after I had got all of the pictures on to the computer.

That smile is priceless!

Running.....

Running.....

And more running....

So how cool is this?  The wind was blowing (thank goodness) and it was making the water spouts do some crazy stuff!

We cracked up when we seen this picture,  She is so funny.

She always has her booty out. Poor thing just can't help it.  I think what she hears most from us is "Kennedy pull your pants up!" Lol

And off to the slides for a little while before we head back home.

Finally!  She stopped for two seconds.  But she took off quick.  She had to get a few more slides in before heading back to the car.
